A Strong District Should Never Stop Improving
Delano has much to be proud of. Sara Brisco is running for School Board because maintaining strong schools requires thoughtful oversight, high expectations and a willingness to continually ask what is working — and what can work better.
As a parent and an experienced professional who has spent more than a decade managing complex programs, budgets, vendors, risks and accountability, Sara believes School Board decisions should be grounded in facts, measured by results and centered on students.

Every Student
Students don't all learn in the same way or follow the same path. Delano should provide meaningful opportunities for students who need additional support, students ready for greater academic challenges, and students preparing for college, trades, employment and adulthood.
Safe & Respectful Schools
Students learn best when they feel safe, respected and supported. Families deserve clear communication when serious incidents occur, consistent follow-through, and confidence that bullying, harassment and student well-being are taken seriously.
Responsible Decisions
Programs, technology and taxpayer dollars should have a purpose. Sara believes the Board should ask clear questions, establish measurable expectations and make sure major investments are actually producing results.
Prepared to Ask the Right Questions
A School Board member isn't there to run individual classrooms or micromanage educators. The Board's responsibility is governance: setting policy, overseeing district leadership, protecting resources and making sure the district is delivering for students and families.
Sara will bring preparation, persistence and accountability to that responsibility.

Meet Sara Brisco
Sara has proudly called Delano home since 2017, where she is raising her children and has become deeply invested in the strength of our schools. She holds an MBA and PMP certification and brings more than a decade of experience leading complex programs, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, and solving difficult problems — experience she is ready to put to work for Delano's students.
